Mary Hermant:
Mary is the Managing Director at Royce Holdings (Single Family Office), providing operational, marketing, and financial support. With over 20 years in Tech and Finance, she's been a Head of Finance and Corporate Affairs at 2K Media AG and managed early-stage investments for over 20 startups, firms and government bodies. She's launched tech products like Frsh Beacons, CoSync Auth, Ursa Live and social data marketing platforms Social Extract and Hello Media, and has worked globally in cities like London, Zurich, and Toronto. In Toronto, she was honoured with the Queen’s Jubilee award in 2022 and mentors for The King’s Trust.
Matan Hazanov:
Matan is the Managing Director of Verstra Ventures, a Toronto-based venture capital firm focusing on early-stage B2B software companies. With over nine years of venture investing experience, Matan leads his team in sourcing, investing, and managing a diverse portfolio. His entrepreneurial journey began at 18, and he has since built multiple startups, serving as an entrepreneur, advisor, and investor.
Before joining Verstra Ventures, Matan was instrumental in numerous investments within the software, cleantech, and agtech sectors across North America and Israel. He is actively involved in the tech ecosystems of Canada, the US, and Israel, frequently speaking, mentoring, and advising at incubators, accelerators, and universities like Holt Accelerator and the Schulich School of Business, where he earned his BBA.
